Hi guys, just after a bit advice, we have a group of about 15 of us all looking to go away together, we have 6 novice boarders and the rest are all intermediate boarders. Where is best to go to accomadate our needs?
We had started to look at catered chalets in France but don't wont to be caned on the price of food and drink outside of the chalet, I.e 8euros for a pint 
Any help, advice or experience is greatly appreciated

France doesnt have to be expensive. Have a look here.. http://www.skicourchevel.net/
Chalet is fully catered so all your food is dealt with, including wine with meals. Beer costs from 5-6€ in the local bars. The appartment is really cheap, but then you have extra for food and drink on top, but it still works out damn cheap.
I've been for the last two years and never spent more than £650 for the week including EVERYTHING, flights, transfers, lift etc.. |

| Thanks for the reply dude, I'll check out that link, how far is the accomadtion from lifts? Is the local area good for drinks in the evening ? Sounds like it could be what we are looking for |

The chalet is in a town called Bozel at the foot of the Courchevel ski area. Its a 5min walk to the free bus in a morning which is about a 15-20min drive up to the lifts. It drops you off right next to them. Bozel has a few small bars and Restaraunts, but its not by any stretch of the imagination a party place.
The apt is in Courchevel 1550 and you can ride right down to the back door, but its a short walk down to the slope in a morning, maybe 10mins. There are quite a few bars and restraunts down in the town which is about 10-15mins walk, and you have access to Courchevel 1850 & 1650.
If its a party week you want then its prob not for you but if all you want is a few beers after a days riding then its worth a look.
The guys who run the place (Sue and Martin) are awesome, they usually spend most of the week riding with us (they're skiers) which is good as they know all the best off piste to hit etc..

If you like the look of Courchevel (it's certainly a great resort!) then take a look at www.pleisure.co.uk - have been away with then 4 times, although not for a few years now as have been off exploring other places.
If you are looking for a few options away from France then Mayrhofen in Austria or Sauze d'oulx in Italy could fit your needs both are likely to be a bit cheaper on the pocket for beers than France and you may find tuition for the newbies is cheaper too. I've been to Sauze 3 times (again not for a while though) and Mayrhofen twice and am aiming to head back to one of these two next year |

| Pas in Andorra is cheap with very good terrain for novices and intermediates. |

That's a good shout too - went there a couple of years ago for a 'cheapy(ish)' and was pleasently surprised - certainly helps that they sorted out the feud with Soldeu so both are lift linked too. |

| Why not think about the SCUK bash next winter? Looks like it will be in Morzine again with Starski and it was a really good value deal last time (especially if they do the half board option again). Morzine/Avoriaz is a huge area and is suitable for all levels of riders which is why it was picked, and the town itself is much cheaper than some of the other french resorts. |

Hi,
We have a some chalets in Paradiski which is a good area for a mix of abilities.
For the novices, it has some easy beginner slopes and plenty of blues for as they progress and there are two ski schools that offer excellent board lessons in groups and one-to-one.
For the intermediates there is 425km of terrain, boarder cross, parks and a big air plus a huge range of riding for all abilities.
