I dunno - The Crossing's a good track (not heard of the others). Why is it old people's music if it's good?
Made my return to the Chill Factore over the last few days and took my MP3 majigga. I have a specific Snowboarding playlist to keep me revved. Here's what I got towards the end of my run:
1. The Howling - Within Temptation - The Heart of Everything
2. Ain't no rest for the wicked - Cage the Elephant - Cage the Elephant
3. 96 Bitter little beings - CKY - Volume 1
4. The Ultimate Showdown of utlimate destiny - Lemon Demon - Dinosaurchestra (this one is for pure comedy value. If I have a poor run, this ALWAYS picks me up and makes me smile )
5. All Nightmare long - Metallica - Death Magnetic (Killer track to finish on - had me speeding down the slope at breakneck pace!)
For those of you who don't know what #4 is - I urge you to look it up. I think www.weebls-stuff.com still have a copy of this running....
(yes they do: http://www.weebls-stuff.com/songs/ultimate+showdown/ ) |

4. Locomotive - Guns 'n' roses - Use your illusion II

Well the album was 30 years old this year, and I bought it as a new release. So the old person I'm talking about is me.
And today's shuffle:
Bjork : Bachelorette
Foo Fighters : All My Life
Bwani Junction : I've Got The Minerals
U2 : An Cat Dubh
The Mission : Sacrilege |

Good Life (Tommy Onyx's 88 Revisited Mix), Inner City
Gz and Hustlas, Snoop dogg, Doggystyle
DJ's Unite, DJ Seduction, The Old Skool Masters (Disc 2)
Da Mystery of Chessboxin', Wu-Tang Clan, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)
True Remix (50/50 Twin, Paul Wall, Lew Hawk), Controversy Sells, Chamillionaire
Sinnerman (Felix da Housecat's Heavenly House Mix), felix da House Cat & Nina Simone, Verve Remixed, Vol 2
Could have been worse as there are some dodgy songs on my ipod.
True by Chamillionaire is only there as I heard it in Travis Kennedy's part in Forum That |

Tonight's mix while I was cooking (and it was EXACTLY 5 songs, too )
1. Blackball - Bigelf - Cheat the Gallows
2. Rock n roll train - AC/DC - Black Ice (I thought it was Tina Turner for a moment! Brings 'Nutbush city limits' to mind )
3. Rising Force - Hammerfall - Crimson Thunder (bonus track. Cover of Yngwie J Malmsteen's band, Rising Force)
4. Perfect skin - The 69 Eyes - Angels
5. 6 gun quota - Seether - Finding beauty in negative spaces
Was quite pleased with that lineup. The change from classic rock to Malmsteenesque fretboard w**king was a bit jarring but still, smiles for me.
Branny - Cypress Hill and the Ramones in one hit? Woah. Still big up for da NME
Ruffers - Wow. Haven't listened to the 'tang in a long while. Could have been worse? Yep - it could have been Will Smith. I love Will - did you know girls be outta their dresses when dey meet 'im? Itz 'cos heez so gangsta. Last Rap or HipHop stuff I owned was some Ice T stuff. Then along came Bodycount and I decided to burn it all in protest... Sad, but true.
Weedgie - That lot's a little more modern I suppose Just missed Bjork in Rejyavik last year. Was gutted as I was there at the same time as the festival she was playing as part of. Not a fan but that would have been some gig to be at. |
