Right I have Booked a holiday to morzine for me and my gf to go awy for Christmas Smile but this board carriage confuses me.i have paid £35 to take my own kit away.im flying with thompsons btw.
My understanding is
20kg for suitcase
15kg board carriage
5kg hand luggage.

I'm sure you can combine your board and case but that's a max 25kg instead of 35kg between two bags.

So do I just buy a smaller board bag as I have the easy Ryan from tsa already but it's huge for just putting a board and bindings into it or do I risk everything in one bag and hope it doesn't get left or unloaded even though I paid the money for it to be taken?

And anyone recommend a small board at and best way to protect board during transit thanks

When I flew with easy jet I just followed what they said and was fine didn't faff about combining , all my luggage was underweight and I didn't wear Half the stuff I took as you spend most of the time on the slopes an a few hours in the pub/eating out , think people worry to much to be honest and there are a million posts on this topic,if you have a large board bag use your jacket and trousers to protect your board ends also put your helmet in there too as long as
It's sports equipment it's fine the the board bag

Pipe lagging (the grey foamy stuff plumber use to lag plastic pipe) around the edges of the board, with elastic bands to hold the bits wrapped round the nose and tail. Cheap as chips (like £1 a metre from B&Q), protects the edges (within reason) in transit and doesn't rip holes in your clothes like sharp or rough edges can do.

Never failed me yet.

I always pack everything in my board bag and unless you're planning on taking a couple of gold bars to spend instead of Euros 25kg should be plenty. Don't think my bag has ever even made it close to 20kg.

There's a gazillion similar threads, so might be worth a search. Goes to show how obvious it all is Rolling Eyes Laughing
